I messed her hair up and decided to leave off the earrings in the end, but other than that, I'm pleased with how it turned out.
Now that the holidays are over and all that, I can finally sit and paint again. I worked a bit more on the night elf painting. All I need to do now are her face markings, in my opinion, the worst part now that the skin tones are done.
Here’s Ornasse with finished hair 🙂
Face close up.
Beard close up.
I need to charge the battery for the good camera, so all you get is phone pics for now!
Bad picture, but I think I’m finally done with skin tones on this one. Next step, hair!
Skin tones finished? I think?
Terivanis - Pencils, done in the car on a bumpy road. o.0
Art done to accompany Jaeyn's visit to Dalaran story.
I haven’t worked with watercolor in ages. 🙂
Art to accompany Baby Talk
I really should think about using the scanner for stuff like this.
Once again, my writing has taken a backseat to painting. Here’s the progression so far!
The original pencil sketch.
The sketch on canvas.
Ornasse sketch on canvas.
Kelanori sketch on canvas.
Green background color. I'm just going to leave it a flat color since the elves take up most of the canvas.
Bad skin tones. I usually don't worry TOO much about matching what they should be when just getting a base color for them down.
I diluted the base color on the face a bit with water so I could still use the sketch as a guideline later on.
More skin tones, basic dress design and a bit of hair. 🙂
And hair for her too.
Work on the faces will come soon.
Mmmm, elf ear.
He agrees that he’s improved a lot over the first one.
