Alt Appreciation – Paladin Week

A week almost as short as monk week, but not quite.

The first paladin. I wasn't very interested in playing plate classes at first. Asharen was created off-server and leveled to level 5 before being forgotten about. During my last RaF, he gained another 8 levels, but time was almost up and I knew that team wasn't going to make it to 80. So he sits, forgotten again, at level 13. He does have BoA pants though, so maybe someday!

The second paladin. Janey was leveled to 75 at the end of wrath. She has since made it to 80, thanks to tagging along with RaF teams.

Daanus is my first paladin to make it to max level during Cataclysm. He is currently leveling in Pandaria and is level 86. In stories he lives in Feralas.

The Dwarverlord, Olaffe. I started him out as a way to learn how to play holy. I still haven't figured it out, but he's level 62 and has healed some outland dungeons. No one died, so I guess maybe it's okay if I don't figure it out.

But then there's Sorrahn. I leveled him as ret, also to learn how to play it. Janey and Daanus are both prot pallies. Sorrahn is level 90 now, and I've given him a second spec, Holy. I still don't know it, but now people die. I thought the Proving Grounds feature would be a great place to learn, but unfortunately it doesn't really do much other than show me how fast I can oom on him. Maybe he's better off as ret.

OOC – 30 Days of WoW: Day 11

Day 11 — Your favorite gear set.

I’m going to do this by class since I don’t think I can choose an overall favorite.  There are too many nice ones to choose from.  Unfortunately, a couple of classes don’t really have great gear sets, so that made it even more difficult to choose. XD

Death Knight –  Tier 8 obviously.  The starter gear, both the greens and the blues that you earn while doing the quests, are also nice sets, but nothing screams “Death Knight!” more to me than tier 8.

Dinadrian Boughtender models the tier 8 set in MogIt. Jaellynn has the full set, but I didn't feel like switching accounts.

Druid – Druid sets, I like a lot of them.  A lot of times I find myself liking one element of one set and another in another set.  The nicest thing about druid sets is that they’re often green or brown and tend to match other druid sets.  That, of course, makes it easier to choose one element from one and another from a different set when going for tmog or IC gear.  But this post is about actual sets, not things thrown together from different sets.  As a full set, I think I like tier 11, normal mode coloring, the most.  Of course, it gets no points for matching the other sets very well, but I love the shoulders.

Terivanis Summerleaf models tier 11, non-heroic color.

Hunter – I’m going to go with tier 8.  I like tier 5 too, but I can’t stand the helm.  The tier 8 helm is kind of funny.

Theronil Whitemorn models stuff that he doesn't have, but my other level 85 hunters do.

Mage – This was one of the more difficult choices.  There are so many nice mage sets.  I’ve always liked tier 6 mage so I’m going with that.

Ellorian Melith'enddare models stuff that he does have. He has a belt that matches better though.

Paladin – Tier 4, because draenei look good in it.

Daanus is such a poser.

Priest – Priest has a lot of nice sets too.  I went with tier 6, with tier 13 and tier 8 following closely behind.

Kelanori Summerleaf models tier 6.

Rogue – A lot of the rogue sets are fugly.  I mean really fugly.  Tier 6 is okay, but I’m going to choose tier 8 for this, the shoulders make it worth it.  Just hide the helm!

Vaelarian Ashclaw models tier 8. He should have hid the helm!

Shaman – Tier 7, 25 man coloring.

Neeah has this set, except the gloves. Anyone want to run Naxx-25?

Warlock – Tier 8, of course.

Jainn of the Hyjal server says "Hi" in tier 8.

Warrior – Again, another class with fugly sets. =P  I went with tier 5, although I despise the helm, and I actually like the green recolor a bit more (sans hat).  This is a set thing so I’m sticking with sets!

Aerrissa Summerleaf models tier 5. I almost want to get it for her now. I have a feeling that if I did, only the hat would drop... haha.

Daanus – Baby Talk

Daanus watched from the inn as the women below at the moonwell passed the two babies back and forth.  Two of the women were draenei.  The other was an elf.  She seemed to be the mother of the youngest baby, although both babies were elves.  He didn’t think she could be the mother to both of them.  They looked too close in age.  He had learned from some of the sentinels that the two draenei women whom had recently moved into the town have elven mates.  The older baby didn’t look like any kind of half-breed.  Perhaps they had adopted him.  One of the draenei priestesses seemed to be acting as his mother.  Adoption would explain that.

He could not explain how the two lovely ladies found elves attractive enough to become mates with.  They didn’t have tails.  They didn’t have tendrils.  Their ears were far too long.  Their feet were soft.  Daanus would guess that their foreheads were quite a bit softer as well.  One could wonder how their race managed to survive at all.

The older baby played a game with one of the priestesses.  He guessed the female elf might be a priestess as well.  She didn’t dress like the sentinels.  The baby was chasing after a ball that one of the draenei priestesses would throw.  He seemed to be enjoying himself and he squealed in delight now.  Daanus smiled.

He wondered if they had quieter nights when the elven men would look after the babies.  He would like to speak with the draenei priestesses again.  Not many draenei came this far south to live.  He was unsure there were any others besides himself and the two priestesses sitting below.  He watched as they played with the babies.  He would not interrupt them tonight.
